Guatemalan Hats

The Guatemalan hat (most of the hats on our website) have a foam-padded cotton twill sweatband that tends to shrink about 1% with heat and moisture. This is about 1/2 of a hat size (1/16" diameter). If you are buying a GUATEMEALAN hat, we recommend buying a hat that is just a little bit loose to allow for this shrinkage. This usually means buying one size larger than you normally wear.

Mexican Hats

The Mexican palm leaf hats have an imitation leather sweatband that does not shrink and they tend to run a little large. On the Mexican hats you should buy your normal size.

To Determine Your Hat Size:

Measure around your head where you wear your hats in inches (circumference).
Use the following chart to determine your hat size:

Great Hat

I have had this one for about a year. Very durable, with all kinds of work in the heat. I have shaped and re-shaped with desired results. Occasionally leave in the rain for softening.

excellent hat and excellent service!!!

Sunbody has an great product. just purchased the alligator palm for golf. i cannot find hats that fit and protect from the sun like sunbody. this is a cool hat in more ways than one. this is my forth hat and the only one that came damaged. i called and was explaining the problem. the lady on the phone let me finish and asked if my address was the same and told me there would be a replacement on the way that day. no questions, no pictures....Very Impressive!

Good product

I bough this hat about ten years ago and have been suing it ever since for yard work, camping, etc. Every now and then I sit it out in the rain and let it get soaked to keep it from drying out. It is showing some wear now, especially on the front of the crown where I handle it the most, but I have no complaints at all. A goo product and I have just ordered my second Sunbody hat and am thinking about a third.
