The old hat has an understudy

I have been wearing this hat for about 10 years. Many hot Saturdays in the South Georgia sun. A few dunks in the Gulf of Mexico. Many very rainy days hiking in the Appalachians and Montana. The old hat is getting rough enough that my wife won't let me wear it anywhere but the hardware store. So I bought a new one and cant wait to receive it. One word of caution - these Guatemalan palm hats do fit snug. My old hat is my regular size (7 3/8) but it is a little snug so I ordered a 7 1/2.

   love my hat.

This is just a great hat. I've had this one for 5 perhaps 6 years now. But alas my new dog liked it so much he took a chunk out of it. I wish I had seen this in your line up but I missed it. I guess I'll order it after my new model arrives. just a damn good all around hat. In this case. a work hat.

   Good looking sun block

Dignified yet jaunty, this hat blocks the sun and doesn't look ridiculous on a middle-aged man. I live in Florida and this is my fifth Sunbody hat. I use the plantation hat for yard work and this fedora for around town.

   Really fine hat

I already had a good panama that I wear for dress. Read some rave reviews on Sunbody and liked the looks of this 3 inch brim fedora. I bought it for working in the yard. I spend a lot of time outdoors in the South Georgia sun, and a wide brim hat is a lifesaver. This particular wide brim well made and good looking. I will probably be wearing it the rest of my life. Now I need to find a winter hat that I like as much.

   Golfing Hat

Got this hat for golf. Unquestionably the best straw hat I have ever had. Great fit, comfortable, stylish and superb quality. Can be a casual hat, a dress hat, a golf hat a ? hat. This one is so versatile! I love it. Would recommend to anyone!

   Built Like A Tank

I followed SunBody's suggestion to order one size up on this Guatemalan Fine Palm Fedora. I also ordered the hat without a hat band, as I like to add my own for customization. Just today I soaked the hat completely in the sink for shaping purposes. After this wetting and shaping process, I must say that the hat has grown on me by leaps and bounds! I had used the foam strips supplied by SunBody to take up the slack from ordering one size up, but in the wetting and shaping process I kind of "shmooshed" the crown around my noggin to conform it more closely to my actual head size. I also gave a slight upward curl to the back brim. The end result, after putting on the wet, slightly re-shaped brim with the crown sides more closely fitting my head, and wearing the hat out into the sun, is an extremely sharp looking hat! This is an extremely sturdy, stiff hat; reminiscent of the Stetson Airway (not in appearance, but in stiffness). The difference, however, is that this Guatemalan Palm can be shaped by wetting, unlike the Stetson Airway. This is a hat that will last not just one lifetime, but could be handed down to generations to come. It's that solidly woven and crafted. I am thrilled to have it, and after my re-shaping and "shmooshing", I now have a very uncommon, very sharp looking palm straw Fedora with a decidedly South American accent. Muy guapo!
