My favourite hat (have 17 - not all Sunbody !)

Love this hat - having a very hot summer with intense sun in UK in 2022 - this is the perfect hat ... have suffered from skin cancer to face and this saves me and gives me complete confidence. The brim is amazing and as other commentators have said, the stampede string is essential and does an excellent job in case of wind. Was introduced to the hat by "Lady Lone Rider" Bernice Ende. (now sadly separted), who always wore this model... - she rode all over the US on horseback. Workmanship of this hat is superb and although it has had knocks there are no signs of indentation or wear ... Bill Kerr in the UK

 Your own personal shade tree

I bought this amazing hat back in 2015. This hat has helped me beat the Florida heat/humidity for years now while working on my cattle ranch, fishing, hiking, basically everywhere I go this hat goes. It has stood up to the test of time, my demanding torture test, and finally this month it finally got a hole in it after 7 years of extreme abuse. So I'm definitely buying another one. My advise if you don't have one then get one.

I have a few Sun Body hats. Wear them all!

This 6" brim is the one I am most likely to wear given the chance mid summer. I have vents and a string for the wind, which is handy as needed. At 100+F I soak my hats in water as often as I can for some air conditioning. Good for the straw as well. Any of them last almost forever. Almost, but for what they cost you'll get more than your money's worth from a Sun Body. Great Hats!

 Excellent quality hat:

My hat arrived today, the quality & fit is excellent, I did have to send the hat back to get larger stampede string grommets placed on it however Sunbody Hats was very helpful in doing this & getting it back to me in a timely manner. One suggestion though: providing a prepaid return label would be very helpful, especially to those of us on a limited budget. All in all a wonderful hat, it will serve me well when I relocate to the desert southwest!

 Straight up sun shade...but stylish

My wife and I went out west for a month long vacation and this hat was exceptionally good at keeping the sun off my head and keeping me cool even in Death Valley. I use it for lawn and garden work now. I am very pleased with the quality of the hat. I would definitely recommend getting a stampede strap to keep it on your head, it has a lot of lift in a breeze. If your going to be outside for long periods in the sun you should get one of these hats to protect your head and neck from burning.

I bought this hat back in May of 2015, I've had it for over 3 years now. WOW, never have I had a hat that lasted this long. It has lasted threw my torture test of building barbed wire fence, cow pens, tractor work, FLORIDA SUN, vacations in the sun, etc. Wash it off with the water hose, let dry over night and go again. I did get some motor oil on it, used a de-greaser to remove the oil stain and the hat changed color on me, but that was my fault. Overall I would recommend this hat to anyone who works in the sun and wants the shade to follow them all day long. I have had several people ask were they could get my hat and I sent them here.

best hat i have, hands down

bought this hat from a mercantile over 10 yrs ago. primarily for working all day in the sun teaching motorcycle safety...used to get snickers early in the AM when i put it on but by 1pm everyone asked where i got it...by soaking it with water i stayed cool on the 100+ degree days...use it for yard and tractor work, pretty abusive and the only wear is a small tear at the stampede strap hole and the front crease where i pinch it to pick it up...(i was warned not to,) final word, i never babied this hat and would have bet you money it wouldnt last the summer, but who ever heard of a straw hat lasting ten years...will buy another...best value in a straw hat!

 Great work hat

Bought mine in 2001 and wear like work clothes. Take it in the pool with me periodically to keep it soft. Never had a straw hat last a,season, but palm hats are indestructible. It's a deal at twice the price! You can't go wrong with sunbody palm hat.

You won't ever regret one of these hats

I had a 5" I wore for 4 years here in Arizona, 2 of those years were daily 8 hrs+ wear. Hat is amazingly robust. Comfort and quality both are excellent. I have the 6" now and its wonderful. Absolutely worth the money. I would never be without a SunBody hat.

 Bad a$$ cowboyhat

Bought mine 5 years at the ROT rally in Austin. Love it! Wear it on bike rally's, wear it on the river, wear at the beach, wear it when I need my shade. Strap it down on my bike, it's all bent to hell when it get to my destination. Just add water and tada! It's back to my shape. Best investment I ever made. I recommend this bad boy to anyone. Looks good and feels right! Plus, stick out of crowd when need to be found.

 Excellent Sun Hat

My husband loves his hat, he's a rancher & spends most of his day outside. Claims the hat keeps him cool. He also likes the look of the hat. Told me to buy one for myself for when I'm outside.

6 Inch Brim Gus Hat the Best

This is the best field hat I own. It has great practical value for protection from the blistering sun and has a unique look. I have other cattleman style hats for different occasions but this is the best for working and on the tractor. I personalized it with an 8 strand horse hair hatband for an awesome look. I am glad I got the stampede string because I don't want to lose the hat.

 Great for tractor work

I'm on my second, now. The first went under the brush hog. The second has eyelets and stampede string. The wide low brim is excellent for blocking the low sun dawn, dusk and winter months.

 Great Hat for Tractor Work

I bought it to wear when I'm out on the 8N Ford Tractor pulling a brush hog. Wide brim, ventilation eyelets and stampede string are great! Plenty of shade for the eyes and ventilation for the dome :) . My first Sunbody hat did not have the stampede string and the Brush hog ate it after I went under some low hanging tree limbs. I'm a happy camper.

Wow! I love this hat and I wear it everywhere in Tucson, AZ. People stop me all the time and ask were I got this BIG ASS hat. I finally had to read the lable and tell them SunBody Hats.com is the place. Mines was the perfect gift for the hot summers here in the Southern AZ deserts. Not great for rid'n my horse or windy days, but if I had 100, I could sell them all! A Cowgirl

This hat is finally dying after 14 years of use

This hat is the best investment I've made in outdoor apparel. I purchased it 14 years ago at a feed store in Cypress, Texas where we delivered hay weekly. It has been through years of drought, been caught in the rain, worn to the beach, worked cows in, used in the garden, baled hay in, been sat on, and has been crushed in the back floorboard of the truck by teenage feet. It is finally about to lose the top of the crown with big rips on the front and the sides, but the body of the hat is still in outstanding condition. Upon purchase I immediately flattened the brim and the crown, which caused a lot of snickering among my hay haulers, but when the hot temperatures began baking the hayfields, they always asked the same question each year, "Where'd you get that hat?" It keeps the body cool by keeping the head, neck and shoulders in complete shade, allowing me to work in direct sun for longer periods. As a woman with waist-length hair, I tuck my hair up into the crown, but the ventilation eyelets still provide circulation. Once this drought lets up and the hay begins growing again, I'll be placing my order for a new one.
